Unul dintre add-on-urile recomandate pentru Mozilla Thunderbird este SmartTemplate, sau mai precis SmartTemplate4.

Efectul principal al acestui add-on este inlocuirea header-elor quote, per cont si per operatiune (new message, reply, forward). In acest sens, add-on-ul poate fi utilizat pentru emularea header-elor standard din Microsoft Outlook, o cerere frecventa a zonei business.
